Nearly 3 BILLION birds have disappeared from North America in the last 50 years.

Why? Pesticides don’t just eliminate what some deem as “pests.” They eliminate the insects birds rely on to survive.

Birds like the Barn Swallow and Eastern Bluebird depend almost entirely on insects during breeding season. Species like the American Robin, Chickadee, and Blue Jay rely on healthy, chemical-free soil to find food.

If there are no insects feeding on those plants…baby birds go hungry. Adult birds resort to consuming pests exposed to toxins just to survive, only to find that their demise is soon.

A perfect lawn shouldn’t cost animals their lives.

It’s time to rethink what “healthy” really means. Skip the pre-emergent, weed killer, and mosquito spraying. This small act can save billions of lives.
