Did you know a group of hummingbirds can be called a charm or a bouquet? Isn’t that lovely?! 💐

Hummingbirds may appear tiny, but they travel thousands of miles during migration to make their way back home.

The best part is that we can help them on their journey.

🌹 Provide native flowers. They love trumpet shaped florals in red, pink and yellow.

🌱Protect their natural habitat. Avoid applying pesticides that can harm the insects and plants they depend on.

🫧 Keep feeders clean and provide a safe source of nourishment. Skip the bright red artificially dyed nectar.

None of these things seem very big, perhaps that’s the point.

Individually and collectively, small acts of stewardship matter. The smallest things we do are more often significant than we’ll ever know.

The hummingbird reminds us that small does not mean insignificant.

Everything has a purpose. Every part of creation reflects something of the One who made it.

We’ve been given the honor to not only to notice beautiful creations every day, but to care for and live among them.
